When you think about surprising your significant other, it’s usually something like a dinner in a fancy restaurant, luxurious jewelry, or that trip to Rome you’ve always dreamed of. But in very rare cases, our loved ones will do something very dumb and yet so hilarious that we’ll forgive and forget.
One such person is this Australian man named Jarrod Grove, who took the worst photo of his wife Tegan and tattooed it on his body. Soon after that, the funny inked face went viral and became a meme.
Grove said that his wife hated the picture, but it didn’t matter because he liked it and was ready to commit to the bit by sitting in a tattoo parlor for eight whole hours. The guy admits that Tegan is the funniest person he knows and that her expression in the photo makes him happy. And the fact that she hated it so much was the catalyst to all this mess.
At first, Jarrod wondered if he had gone too far when his partner got mad at him and burst into tears upon seeing this. He couldn’t wait to get home and see Tegan’s reaction, but the uncertainty was always there at the back of his mind. When she saw the ink, she started crying. But then she laughed a lot. Then she cried a little again and started laughing again. It was a real rollercoaster of emotions for poor Tegan. Of course, after the initial shock, she started googling laser tattoo removal, so there were only two options left: either they’d laugh together, or he’d never see that girl again.
Jarrod is extremely lucky that Tegan has a good sense of humor and doesn’t mind having her silly face tattooed on his leg for the rest of their life together. But what if they break up? Maybe not today or tomorrow, but eventually, there’s a good chance things won’t work out. What then?
Well, the couple does not want to even consider such a possibility at this point as their relationship is nice and tight. Grove claims that as long as they’re able to laugh things off, nothing will ruin their relationship.
Only time will tell, but so far, there’s no need to imagine the worst-case scenario, as they are both still young and full of optimism.
