Celebrity Couples That Are Never Seen in Public

Once you step into the realm of celebrity stardom, maintaining a private life can be quite challenging. Dodging the press and maximizing your time away from the spotlight is a constant struggle.

The situation becomes even more challenging when two celebrities form a romantic partnership. Your options are basically limited to either becoming the new Brangelina and transforming your celebrity couple status into the new status quo, or exerting extra effort to ensure that you are rarely seen together. Here are a few celebrity couples who took the latter approach and typically only showed up together for official red carpet events.

Jason Statham & Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Despite Jason’s status as one of the most recognized and high-profile action movie stars of his generation and Rosie’s status as a top model, they manage to maintain their separate careers and avoid frequent reunions. They’ve been together since 2010, so they’ve been able to keep their relationship private for quite a long time!

Emma Stone & Dave McCary

This married couple have their own production company together, and while everyone knows who Emma Stone is, it’s probably not that hard to find someone that’d go, “Dave who?” despite his many accolades for his work for SNL and other things. Apart from official business and the rare picture taken in the wild, these two made an effort to separate their relationship from their jobs in showbiz.

Jordan Peele & Chelsea Peretti

Married back in 2016, these comedians (although Jordan is probably better known as a horror movie director now) have managed to work in very similar jobs yet never get in each other’s way. It’ll probably be easier in recent years since I don’t exactly see Chelsea acting in any horror movies, and I’d hate to lose Jordan’s genius as a filmmaker to have him go back to comedy.

Cameron Diaz & Benji Madden

Despite being a guitarist in Good Charlotte and one of the most well-known actresses of her generation, these two have managed to maintain their marriage for almost a decade. They even have two children together, and yet they somehow manage to maintain their careers and relationships while maximizing their privacy.

Michael Fassbender & Alicia Vikander

When two of the best actors of their time come together and form a relationship, “Brangelina” is always in the back of our minds. Fassbender & Vikander took a completely different approach to their relationship though, and both actors have been happily married out of the spotlights for almost a decade now.

Sarah Michelle Gellar & Freddie Prinze Jr

Another set of actors that gave color to late 90s and early 00s teen pop culture like no other. These two have been married for 22 years now, and even at the height of their fame, they managed to keep their relationship private and their public appearances together to a bare minimum.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Tasha McCauley

You may not immediately know who Tasha McCauley is, but apart from being Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s wife for nearly a decade, she’s also one of the biggest minds in the Silicon Valley tech and robotics business, and she has had more than one finger in the governance of AI and OpenAI. Her work probably affects all of us on a nearly daily basis. The couple have three kids together whose name and photos have not been (officially) released, since Tasha prefers to be away from the spotlight and Joseph wants his kids to decide being in the spotlight for themselves once they’re old enough.

Daniel Craig & Rachel Weisz

Married for over a decade now, these two actors have also managed to keep their relationship and children away from the spotlights as much as possible. They both have kids from previous relationships but have somehow managed to keep the balance in their new family together.
