When you’re a celebrity and you get your wax statue made, it’s almost like you’ve assured the fact that people will remember you long after you die. It’s your place in the history books. Sometimes however, such an immortalisation goes horribly wrong. We all remember that Cristiano Ronaldo bronze bust, right? Well, the same thing has happened many times over with wax statues.
Let’s take a look at some celebrities that were just done wrong with their wax statue counterparts. Because sometimes reaching your life’s goal just ends up being a major disappointment.
Taylor Swift
Well I mean, it sort of looks like her, right? The face isn’t too bad, they just forgot to add about half her weight to the model. Jesus how freakishly thin is this statue?
Robert Pattinson
I think we can all pretty much agree that this wax statue is the worst thing to happen to Robert Pattinson since the Twilight saga. It looks more like Robert Pattinson after his plastic surgery addiction finally got the better of him.
Justin Bieber
Oh wow, this is the Cristiano of wax statues, isn’t it? You can tell some of the basic features are there but boy are all of the proportions just dead wrong. What’s with that thin neck on top of those broad shoulders?
Harrison Ford
If there was ever proof that Disney’s de-aging technology isn’t as bad as we all think, it’s this wax statue. I can’t say it looks bad necessarily, but it really just looks like they tried to make current day Harrison younger with CGI rendered by a computer that still declares its processing power in pentiums.
Angelina Jolie
Honestly you could tell me this was Angelina Jolie and I still wouldn’t believe it. This feels like the kind of wax statue that someone designed without a picture to go on and he just kind of winged it. I feel like it looks more than Megan Fox, if anything.
Leonardo DiCaprio
One of these pictures is unable to date women over 25, the other one is unable to date women in general. They even combed his hair in the wrong direction. That’s taking artistic freedom to a whole new level.
Tom Cruise
Jesus holy mother of God what is that thing? That’s a Luke Wilson statue if I’ve ever seen one. That nose looks nothing like Tom Cruise. At least the smile looks somewhat similar to Tom’s, although the statue has those weird serial killer white teeth. It’s just a horrible statue.
