Hillary Clinton Goes Viral With Her Take On Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie Being Snubbed

On January 23, the nominees for the 2024 Oscars were announced. Last year’s highest-grossing film “Barbie” received eight nominations. However, to everyone’s surprise, Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie were not even nominated for their respective categories. But Ryan Gosling got his piece of the Oscar cake just fine. So what gives?

Shortly after the ceremony, Gosling expressed his disappointment that he was nominated for his role as Ken while Greta and Margot were snubbed. However, he emphasized that there is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no movie about Barbie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, which is 100% true.

Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie are essentially the two people responsible for this historic, soon-to-be-iconic film, and yet the old farts in the committee didn’t seem to realize that.

Gerwig and Robbie were expected to be nominated for Best Director and Best Actress, respectively. However, Robbie got a nomination as a producer in the “Best Film” category, and Gerwig, along with her husband Noah Baumbach, was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. Both are pretty arbitrary categories that few people care about.

“No recognition would be possible for anyone in the film without their talent, fortitude, and genius. To say I’m disappointed they weren’t nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement,” said Gosling in his official statement.

Despite this, the actor added that he was very happy for America Ferrera, who received a nomination for the best supporting actress, as well as for the other incredible artists who put their talents into creating this revolutionary film. America Ferrera herself was also disappointed about the screaming injustice, but she was not the only one.

In the past week, many influencers have posted their hot takes on the subject, and one of them went as far as to compare this Oskar kerfuffle to Hillary Clinton not winning the presidential race in 2016. What’s even funnier is that Hillary must have somehow seen the original tweet because shortly after, this beauty popped up and went viral:

Although maybe starting her own hashtag #HillaryBarbie was not the best idea.
