Princess Charlotte of Wales has spent her life with a luxurious upbringing and a royal title, but it might shock you to know that she doesn’t actually spend her spare time sipping tea and practicing royal etiquette. In fact, she’s just like a normal 10-year-old and has the hobbies to back it up. Kate Middleton’s daughter has steered clear of interviews and public comments due to her young age, but her parents have still openly shared glimpses into the young royal’s life that might surprise you.

Just like any doting mother, Kate adores talking about her children whenever she has the opportunity. In October 2025, when she visited Home-Start Oxford, an organization that provides support to families, Catherine, Princess of Wales, was seen bonding with other mothers by sharing insights about young Charlotte. She spoke about how her daughter loved the outdoors, which we’ve seen a peek of when Kate and William gave a shoutout to their little girl on Instagram, where she’s seen posting in a field wearing rugged hiking gear.

And Kate isn’t the only parent who likes to brag about how lovely her daughter is; William, Prince of Wales, shared some insights about his daughter in May 2025 when he met with Olympian Keely Hodgkinson. The future king spoke about the shared passion for running that Charlotte shared with Hodgkinson, who told Hello!, “The prince told me his daughter is doing the 400m at the minute and the hurdles, and that she did watch me in Paris.”

Princess Charlotte has some trendy new hobbies

Beyond her love for running and spending time in the outdoors, she loves Taylor Swift, just as many little girls do. In 2024, she attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour alongside her brother Prince George and her father Prince William. She got to meet the pop star and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, at the concert. One ritual that’s become common at Taylor Swift shows is the fan-created tradition of trading friendship bracelets, and ahead of the concert, Princess Charlotte crafted a bracelet for her father, which he was seen donning during a trip to South Africa.

Beyond being a fan of Taylor Swift and arts and crafts, she’s also very into a popular Netflix movie that you might have heard of: “K-Pop Demon Hunters.” A young fan wrote Princess Charlotte a letter describing her affinity for the animated movie, and to the fan’s delight, she received a letter back notifying her that the palace had decided to play a popular song from the movie called “Golden” during the Changing of the Guard, with this response indicating just how much Charlotte loves the film.
