Once upon a time, the Pitt-Jolie clan were all one big happy family. However, since Brad and Angie split, a lot has gone down, and their brood of biological and adopted kids have certainly grown up quite a bit. Although the family has had their ups and downs, the kids are quite close-knit with Angie, and although there is an ongoing court battle against father Brad Pitt, the whole family has an undeniable bond that has gotten them through all the tough times over the years.
While you might remember them as babies on the covers of gossip tabloids, today, nearly all of them are teens and young adults. The six kids: Pax, Maddox, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox, have all grown up before our eyes, and their transformation over the years is no small one. It feels like so long ago that Angie was just bringing home little Maddox, and we had no idea it would be the start of such an epic family unit. Here’s where all Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s kids started out, and where they are today.
1. Maddox
Maddox is the oldest of the Jolie-Pitt clan, adopted in 2001 from Cambodia when Jolie was still married to Billy Bob Thornton. Maddox is currently a student at Yonsei University in South Korea. In 2019, she dropped her son off at school, and got a little teary-eyed about becoming an empty nester. Maddox is studying biochemistry, and while his mom is missing him a lot, she fortunately got some additional time with him due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He’s come into his style and rocks a lot of streetwear inspired looks that have earned him a ton of Instagram followers. He recently collaborated with his father in the zombie thriller movie “World War Z”.
2. Shiloh
Shiloh and her androgynous looks have undergone a serious makeover during lockdown. She’s also gotten a whole lot taller. Shiloh was born in Namibia back in 2006, and recently can be seen in denim cut offs and with long hair, which is a long way from her classic tomboy looks that we’ve gotten used to over the past few years. Her parents have always encouraged her to express herself through clothes, and she’s certainly the biggest fashionista, at least when it comes to casual separates. This gender-bending, Angie-look-a-like is the couples first biological daughter, but it seems that fame is not important to her. Nowadays, she’s closer than ever with her sister Zahara, and the two have been seen hanging with another teen celeb, Millie Bobby Brown.
3. Zahara
Zahara was adopted from Ethiopia, and she’s still a teen, so she hasn’t yet left her nest like big brother Maddox. This gorgeous and low key teen has managed to stay out of the limelight but we do know that she has a love for philanthropy, as on a trip to Ethiopia, she recently met with Sahle-Work Zewde, the nation’s first woman president. They talked about girls education and sanitary pad solutions in schools, as well as tuberculosis, which is a major health crisis in the country. In 2016, she voiced Meng Meng in “Kung Fu Panda 3”, and the teen has also launched her own jewelry collection with Robert Procop, sold at Saks Fifth Avenue and other retailers.
4. Pax
Adopted from the Tam Binh Orphanage in Vietnam back in 2007, handsome high school grad Pax is one of the most private members of the Jolie-Pitt family and is rarely photographed. He’s currently learning the Vietnamese language, which he spoke before Angie and Brad adopted him. He’s graduated from high school, but the shy teen chose not to attend the 2021 event because he didn’t want a media circus showing up and embarrassing him. Growing up with such famous parents can have its dark side too, but like his siblings, he made a cameo in “Kung Fu Panda 3” as Yoo.
5. Knox and Vivenne
The two youngest members of Angelina and Brad’s family would be 12-year-old Knox and Vivienne, born in 2008 in France. Though they’re twins, Knox is technically a minute older than his sister. The twins jumped ahead of the coronavirus learning trend and have been home-schooled for the majority of their lives. Recently, they were spotted selling organic dog treats in a park in LA, raising money for Hope for Paws, a local Los Angeles animal rescue organization. Vivienne showed up as young Princess Aurora in “Maleficent” with her mom, while Knox voiced Ku Ku in “Kung Fu Panda 3”.
