All guys have hair. Unless you’re a baby. Or an elderly man. Or the 25% in between who have hereditary male pattern baldness. But the rest of you have hair, and while that’s cool and all, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. See, whether your hair color is blond, burnet, ginger or even a rich cocoa, it’s probably pretty boring. There’s nothing about it that sticks out from the crowd. Nobody looks at you with intrigue, trying to imagine what trouble you get yourself into on Saturday nights but being too afraid to ask. Thankfully, we have some hair color recommendations that will change you from a zero to a hero!
1. Pink & Purple
Let’s start with something that will really turn heads. If you were to conceal your hair behind a curtain (and who doesn’t?) and then dramatically pull that curtain open, in an instant you’d go full-blown Lady Gaga!
2. Strawberry Cheesecake
The nice thing about blond coloring is that it matches up perfectly with other colors. Case in point: adding pink tips to the end of medium-to-long hair makes you look like a delicious dessert.
3. Green & Black
No matter what style your hair is — straight, wavy, lamby, you name it — this color combo is right up your alley. Unlike some of the other color suggestions on this list, green and black is not a high maintenance look. In fact, messy and matted hair works perfectly fine with this color!
4. Coffee Brown
Admittedly, not every guy wants to opt for a flamboyant, attention-seeking color. Some are looking for subtlety, and that’s exactly what you’ll get if you choose a coffee brown tone. It works in any environment. It’s most recommended if your goal is to switch from lighter to darker hair.
5. Dirty Blonde
Looking for a way to make your blue/green eyes stand out? Dirty blond is definitely the way to go. It’s a balanced color that really brings out your eyes without overdoing it.
6. Copper Brown
This color works with both light and dark high colors. Be aware that it does have sort of a ginger vibe.
7. Ash Gray
This is a look that on the surface looks natural, but if you give somebody enough time to stare at you, they’ll realize something is up. This is best with a short fade.
8. Hot Pink
This is the color you should choose if you’re looking to get out of your comfort zone. This will definitely cause a few eyebrows to be raised. This is probably an option to go with if you just want to temporarily look wild.
9. Honey Brown
This is yet another color that looks natural enough, but it’s also bright enough to give you the attention that you very much crave. It’s a good color even if you happen to have dark eyebrows.
10. Orange & Peach
It starts off bright orange and gradually turns a light yellow color. It looks best if you have long hair. This is a soft pastel look that works well with guys who wear bright colors.
If your goal is to look like an anime character, this is the right color for you. But be warned: this might not be a good idea if you’re a trial lawyer or children’s psychologist. It gives off more of a hipster barista vibe. Also, keep in mind that it requires a lot of upkeep. In other words, turquoise isn’t something you’d want to do half-assed.
12. Melting Caramel
This is a blend of several different shades of brown and blond, which means it requires the work of a skilled stylist. However, next time you show up uninvited to a party, you’ll quickly discover that everybody is glad you came.
Going with the bleached white look is simple and minimalistic. Best of all, if you change your mind you can quickly find a better color. Although you could try bleaching your hair on your own, it’s best to leave it to a stylist.
Can’t decide which color to choose? Make it easy on yourself and go full-on double rainbow. You’ve got some oranges and blues, purples and reds. It’s a somewhat risky look that your mother might not approve of, but she’ll just have to get used to it.
