Faith in humanity restored! Circus Roncalli from Germany is putting an end to animal cruelty by using holograms instead of real animals, and this made the show even more spectacular.

Circus Roncalli was founded in 1976 which makes it one of the oldest and most famous circuses in Germany. However, this didn’t help them to avoid the accusations on the part of animal rights activists.

Getting tired of all the accusations, and in an attempt to fight against animal cruelty in the industry, Circus Roncalli decided to change things up and seek assistance from modern digital technologies. The legendary circus still features elephants and lions, acrobats, and flaming circles, but this time, for the firsts time in the history of the industry, absolutely all animals aren’t real. And it looks like this bold yet highly necessary move actually paid off – the attendance has skyrocketed and it seems the audience absolutely loved it.

Is it possible that the circus industry can bloom without hurting the animals? Turns out it is, and Circus Roncalli has proved it right. In the arena, we can witness hologrammed elephants doing incredible stunts, horses running in circles, and watching giant goldfish floating around the arena. And it’s all done without using real animals.

To make their plan work, the circus directors turned to Optoma for help – the multinational manufacturer of digital cinema and projectors. The company designed a high contrast projector with outstanding colors and 2,000,000:1 contrast that worked just perfectly for the circus arena which is 32 meters wide and 5 meters deep giving the audience 360° visibility.

With all that in mind, we really hope that more circuses will pick up the idea of using animals holograms. It’s time to put an end to this nightmare. No more pain and suffering; no more animals who are getting beaten, starved half to death to make them obey and perform for human entertainment. Animals are not things. They are living beings that have feelings and can feel pain just like humans do.

Circuses have always been placing unnatural demands on animals. Tigers are not supposed to jump through fiery hoops, monkeys and chimps are not supposed to wear skirts and ride a bike. It is people who make them do these unspeakable things by using whips, collars and shock prods.

Speaking of people? This is probably the most important thing that hasn’t been said yet. The people, the audience is the reason this is happening. If people didn’t come to the show, there would be no show, right? So, please, stop sponsoring the industry! Animals all over the world are being caged, taken from their mommies and daddies, mistreated and forced into behaving in the most unnatural way possible. So, again, please, next time think about it before taking your kid to the circus or to the Zoo.
