Sometimes only a true fan can grasp the Easter Eggs left by the director in a movie. Stephen King’s books are all inter-connected, so the movies based on his works are also filled with various hidden details. Marvel films are also packed with references only a true comic geek would pick up. And don’t get me started on the whole Harry Potter franchise and the hidden messages that are all over its movies! So, without further ado, here are some of the best-hidden movie details we’ve all totally missed.
What does The Hangover movies and The Beatles have in common? Well, there’s this iconic Beatle’s album cover and the scene in The Hangover that plays homage to it.
Remember in Avengers: Endgame Thor is always seen wearing gloves? There’s no special meaning behind them – the actor Chris Hemsworth had to wear them in order to hide the stitches from yet another costume that made him look overweight.
Not many people notice that in John Wick: Chapter Two the cars in front of the hotel are arranged in the exact same way as it was in the first movie. Although the filming of these two movies is three years apart, inside the movies only a week has passed. This precision is quite spectacular!
Deadpool is known for his quirky sense of humor that often involves talking right to the audience or even mocking the very actor who’s playing the role – Ryan Reynolds. During one of the scenes, when the character was taken into experimental surgery, he kind of mocks Ryan Reynolds’ other movie, The Green Lantern, when he asks not to make his suit green when all is over.
In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, there’s a scene when Harry appears without glasses and his infamous scar. This happens because the events take place not in the real world, but in the soul realm of the character – and there he needs none of those things!
In Captain America there is a scene when we see Nick Fury’s grave. The engraving on it says: “The path of the righteous man”. This is the line from the Pulp Fiction movie, in which Samuel L. Jackson played the role of Jules, who uttered these words.
Not many people notice that in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the Witch’s crown melts and her whole attire changes and reduces in size as she becomes weaker.
It: Chapter Two has a cameo of none other than Stephen King, the father of horror, who plays a quirky antique shop keeper, who sells Bill his old bike. He also criticizes Bill for the ending of the book he wrote – this is the exactly same thing that’s been happening to Stephen King all his life.
In the same movie we see a scene with Beverly hiding from various people in the bathroom – it’s a direct reference to another Stephen King’s Movie The Shining. One of the people even tries to break in with the same line “Here’s Johnny!”
In the first season we noticed sheriff Jim Hopper wear a blue bracelet – only later we find out it actually belongs to his daughter who passed away. During the ball scene in season 2, we can see El wearing the same hairband on her hand. Apparently, Jim gave it to her when he started taking care of her as his own daughter.
